A day after dropping the official poster for the Maira Callas biopic “Maria,” Netflix has released the official trailer to the film.

The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, tells the story of one of the world’s most renowned artists and reimagines the legendary soprano in her final days in Paris.

Angelina Jolie stars as Maria Callas alongside Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Haluk Bilginer and Kodi Smit-McPhee. Pablo Larraín directed the film from a screenplay by Steven Knight.

When the movie premiered at the Venice Film Festival, Jolie received rave reviews and is widely seen as one of the front runners to receive a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards.

”Maria” has played at the Telluride Film Festival,  the Toronto International Film Festival, New York Film Festival and London Film Festival. It makes its LA premiere at the AFI Film Festival.

The film will hit theaters on Nov. 27 before being released on Netflix on Dec. 11.
