Malmö Opera is set to live stream Verdi’s “Giovanna d’Arco” on Nov. 17, 2024.

The opera is directed by Philipp M. Krenn and conducted by Daniela Musca. It stars Ania Jeruc in the title role of Giovanna, Bror Magnus Tödenes as Carlo, Fredrik Zetterström as Giacomo, Gustav Johansson as Talbot, Tor Lind as Delil, and Andrea Hilario as the Acrobat.

The production has earned raves with Operapoint’s Martin Knust proclaiming “Verdi’s rarely performed opera is presented in Malmö with top-class soloists in a visually appealing production.” Camilla Lundberg of Swedish National Television also noted that the production was “top notch musically.”

The performance has a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission. Audiences can stream the performance directly on the company’s official website.

The production of the Verdi work runs through Nov. 24, 2024.
