Watch Opéra de Rouen’s New ‘Aida’ with Joyce El-Khoury & Adam Smith

On Oct. 5, 2024, the Opéra de Rouen Normandie will stream Verdi’s “Aida” at 6 pm GMT.

The opera will be shown on YouTube and France TV and will star Joyce El-Khoury in the title role and Adam Smith as Radames.

They will be joined by Alisa Kolosova as Amneris, Adolfo Corrado as Ramfis, and Nikoloz Lagvilava as Amonasro. The cast is rounded out by Emanuele Cordaro, Néstor Galván, and Iryna Kyshliaruk. 

Philipp Himmelmann directs the new production which Pierre Bleuse will conduct.

The live transmission is a co-production of Camera Lucida, Opéra de Rouen Normandie, with the participation of France Télévisions and France 3 Normandie.

“Aida” opened on Sept. 27 and is set to be performed through Oct. 5, 2024.
